Fixed-Wing Patient Transport
We provide medically staffed fixed-wing air ambulance transport for patients who require continuous monitoring or clinical support during long-distance travel. Each flight is coordinated bedside-to-bedside in collaboration with physicians, hospitals, and care teams to ensure safe and appropriate transport.​ BLS, ALS, and critical care transport available based on medical need.
Private Charter & Specialized Aviation
Private charter services are available for individuals or organizations requiring flexible, non-commercial aviation solutions. These flights are coordinated with the same attention to planning, safety, and operational standards that guide our medical transport services.
How the Air Ambulance Process Works
At Atlas Air Ambulance, we ensure a seamless process for air ambulance services, prioritizing the safety and well-being of our patients every step of the way. We are dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate air ambulance services to our patients. With our seamless process and experienced team, you can trust us to provide the highest level of care every step of the way. Here's how it works:
Step 1. Flight Coordination
Flight Coordinators handle every detail of your medical flight with expertise and care. When you book a medical flight with us, one of our experienced coordinators will guide you through the entire process, ensuring you understand all aspects of medical air transport. Rest assured, you'll never be caught off guard or worry about any vital step being overlooked. We take care of every detail to provide you with peace of mind and ensure a seamless journey.
Step 2. Transport
Our dedicated medical team arrives at the patient's location. Upon arrival our medical team will assume care of the patient. From there, the patient is transported to the departure airport, where our awaiting medical plane is prepared to safely transport them to their destination.

Step 3. Loading
Our dedicated medical staff takes over. Upon arrival at the aircraft, our skilled medical team loads the patient directly from the ground ambulance unit into the aircraft's specially designed medical stretcher, tailored for airplane transfer. Any family members are also seated on the flight, ensuring they accompany the patient throughout the entire process.

Step 4. In Flight
Throughout the flight, our medical team diligently attends to every aspect of the patient's care. Think of it as an airborne ambulance, fully equipped to address the diverse medical needs of critically ill patients, including young children, burn patients, ventilator-dependent patients, and individuals weighing over 300lbs. With specialized expertise and state-of-the-art equipment, we ensure optimal care and comfort throughout the journey.

Step 5. Touch Down
After arriving at the destination airport, a ground ambulance crew awaits to continue escorting the patient, accompanied by our medical team, to the designated facility. The receiving team at the new facility is prepared to welcome the patient at a specified time, facilitating their immediate transfer to the required bed or unit for ongoing care.

In Flight Family Companion
We will make every effort to accommodate a family companion during flight, up to two family members, depending on required medical equipment and crew needs. We understand the importance of family support during critical medical episodes or significant transitions like patient transfers, ensuring the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our patients.
